Lexington Wetlands is the first phase of the Silver Bow Creek Conservation Area, a 160-acre greenway project in Butte, Montana. This 22-acre natural wetland is nearing completion, transforming into an accessible public space for conservation, recreation, and education.
Located just off Interstate 90 near Lexington Avenue, the site features a thriving ecosystem that required no remediation, allowing enhancements focused on public access and ecological preservation.
Developed through collaboration between Atlantic Richfield Company and Butte-Silver Bow County, the project blends ecological stewardship with community recreation, providing habitat for migratory birds and waterfowl while contributing to Butte's environmental recovery.
